Petr Cancura wanted a video for the release of his second album “Carifa.” Petr’s a well-established jazz musician and producer who’s been creative director of the Ottawa Jazz Festival for the past few years.

We shot this video in a friend’s bar in Greenpoint, New York in December 2008. The scenic shots are a nod to places where everyone in the project was born: New York, Czech, Ontario and British Columbia.

On drums is Richie Barshay; on bass, Garth Stevenson, and on guitar here in the video, Clay Ross subbing for absent Chris Bartos who plays on the recording.
